Year-End Donation Drive Happening Now!

December 3, 2020

Dear Community Partner,

More and more of our children, neighbors, friends, families, teachers, healthcare providers, and senior citizens are experiencing clinically significant stress, fear, anxiety, or depression due to the pandemic.

This is an emerging mental health crisis and Central Kansas Mental Health Center is looking for donors to partner with us to fund necessary services.

Did you know? Prior to the pandemic 1 in 11 persons experienced anxiety or stress related problems, and now that number is 1 in 3. Even after the pandemic ends, the mental health crisis will remain with us for the months and years to come. We need your help.

With the increase in unemployment, loss of health insurance, and increased mental health needs, the funding to offer discounted services for the uninsured and to provide trainings to the community is not enough. As a non-profit organization, your tax-deductible donation can save lives and build resilience for members of our community.

  • $20 provides 1 counseling/therapy session for an eligible uninsured person.
  • $50 provides a typical month’s supply of medication for a mentally ill patient who is financially limited.
  • $150 provides a stress management/wellness presentation to a community group or business.
  • $750 provides a Mental Health First Aid class to your community (or individual scholarships for $35 per person).
  • $2,250 provides a two-day ASIST Suicide Prevention and Intervention course to community members (or individual scholarships for $150 per person) ASIST is a nationally and internationally recognized training proven to get results and save lives.
  • $10,000 supports development and expansion efforts for youth or adult crisis programs.

CKMHC utilizes research based practices proven to obtain the best results. In addition to therapy services, we ensure 24/7 crisis services are accessible to anyone in our community who needs them whether they are a patient or not. We have equipped our clinicians, doctors, and mental health professionals with tele video and telephonic service capability in addition to offering in-person services so everyone can access support in the safest, most convenient, and effective way possible. We are literally a phone call away for anyone who needs us.

Your support is more critical now than ever and your donation will be matched by First Bank Kansas. CKMHC offers multiple ways to make donating easy:

    • Donations can be a one time or set up as a recurring donation.
