Career Stories

“It has been my privilege to have a long career with CKMHC, and really experience the ‘community’ side. As the Special Projects Manager, I work with both our staff and our many partners in the communities we serve. We have a team of great, tireless people that bring our mission of making lives better come to life every day. We are well respected in the community and across the state. Whether it be our efforts to provide people services in their least restrictive environment (reducing state hospital reliance) or working with our vulnerable consumers, such as those in local homeless shelters, each day I experience our staff and our community coming together to make our communities the best places to live and flourish.”

- Mike, Special Projects Manager

“It is a blessing to say I’m been employed at CKMHC for over 20 years and had the opportunity to work with adults and kids. I love working with others and the team effort makes a difference in others’ lives.”

- Joyce, Case Manager

“I enjoy working with people so this job has been very rewarding, knowing that I can make a difference in someone’s life. Working here has also been a great learning experience for me.”

“I appreciate the knowledge, experience and support my co-workers and supervisors which have helped me grow as a clinician. Working in a community mental health center has offered me a great variety of work experience. After 30 years in community mental health I still find my job rewarding, challenging and enjoyable – and I can say I still like what I do!”
